4. ⁴You have made many ideas that you have placed between yourself and your Creator, and these beliefs are the world as you perceive it. ⁵Truth is not absent here, but it is obscure.

In the beginning, I/we may have believed this was something (made many ideas) other than it is. In the beginning, (in my illusionary thinking), I believed God was violent and anything other than love. But, as I come to realize that A Course In Miracles was teaching me that God is Love, and that He had no involvement in the world, I could relax, and to think of this world as an illusion, which it is.
